Gordon-Brant Shifts HQ from Santa Monica to Manhattan's 888 Seventh Ave.

NEW YORK CITY-While it will continue to maintain its space at 1250 Sixth St. in Santa Monica, CA, under the direction of president Randy Brant, the new headquarters will be on Seventh Avenue here with chairman Sheldon Gordon.

NEW YORK CITY-The president of Gordon-Brant, Randy Brant, tells GlobeSt.com the company has signed a 10-year lease in Vornado Realty’s building at 888 Seventh Ave. The company will make the new space, approximately 6,000 sf, its headquarters while maintaining the current office space at 1250 Sixth St. in Santa Monica, CA. There were no brokers in involved in the deal Brant says, because of “our long-standing relationship with Vornado.”

He says he will continue to run the office in the neighborhood of Los Angeles, “but will travel every-other-week between LA and Manhattan.” Brant notes the decision to relocate the headquarters was made for several reasons, including the company’s relationship with Vornado and increasing involvement with projects here and also because chairman Sheldon Gordon decided to move to Greenwich, CT.

“I am a native of Southern California,” he says, “and we have projects on both coasts, so I’ll stay out there to manage that office. The new office will be run by Sheldon and his son, Scott Gordon, who is vice president of development and leasing.”
