"We have invested substantial resources of time, manpower and money in the development of one of the industry's leading Internet sites (http://www.arvidarealty.com/com) in order to assist in not becoming reliant on a third party dot-com for our online survival," Arvida vice president/managing broker Robin L. Webb tells GlobeSt.com.

Arvida has also aligned itself with Loopnet Inc. "for national online marketing and upload from our internal system to that property database," Webb says. "While our associates are employing the services of others, such as Property First and Florida Commrex, the only total exchange of property information occurs with Loopnet."

Arvida also receives "tremendous research mapping and demographic value from the CCIM Site To Do Business (http://stdbonline.com/com)," says Webb, whose specialty is the hospitality industry. "Clearly, we believe these (sites) will be the survivors in the online turbulent seas."
