Marriott will take a portion of the third floor and the entire fourth floor in the building, scheduled for first occupancy in December 2001. The company will relocate and consolidate other offices in the area.

The Pointe O'Hare complex will include two office buildings as well as two restaurant and retail buildings and a luxury hotel. The class A office building also includes a six-story parking garage.

David Ven Horst, Tom Koelzer and David Lind of CB Richard Ellis represented ORIX while Steve LaKind and Steve Degodny of Julien J. Studley, Inc. represented Marriott.

McShane Construction Corp., based here, already has leased 20,450 sf at Pointe O'Hare. McShane built the 260,000-sf regional headquarters for International Truck and Engine Corp. in the Cantera development in west suburban Warrenville.

Meanwhile, Michael J. DeBlauw has joined McShane as project manager. He will work with teams involved in cost analyses, design evaluation and value engineering alternatives as well as handle permits, subcontractor negotiations, construction, quality assurance and compliance with safety regulations.

DeBlauw comes from Weis Builders, Inc. where he managed hotel construction projects in Texas. He also has experience in multifamily, industrial and retail construction in the Midwest.
