The San Antonio board completes 25,000 transactions annually and is using a closing process that often requires upward of 400 telephone calls and 70 signatures, according to Expeditrix. The key to Expeditrix's system is that all paperwork is in the system and available on a 24/7 basis to all parties involved in the transaction.

Larry Nuese, San Antonio's board chairman, says other platforms had been evaluated, but SmartClose "is a tested, proved product that enables our members and their customers to see immediate benefits."

Expeditrix and SABoR will collaborate on joint print, online and event marketing as well as training courses to promote the SmartClose service to South Texas Realtors. All information is secure and only available to the appropriate closing parties involved in the transaction. The signing comes just eight days after Expeditrix had named a new CEO to lead its expansion strategy.
