The Firstar is managed by Jim Beck, the company's local director of leasing. Formerly, CB Richard Ellis Inc. leased and managed the building. CB Richard Ellis will continue to handle the leasing for building.

Jones Lang LaSalle is serving as the leasing and management company for the owner of the buildings, Chesapeake Atlantic Holdings, based in Tampa, FL.

Chesapeake Atlantic is in negotiations to purchase the Overland Park Trade Center at 115th Street and Metcalf Avenue. The trade center, with nearly 600,000 sf of space and 14 acres of vacant land, is one of the largest mixed-use properties in the metropolitan area.

The purchase price has not been disclosed, but previously the property was listed for $35 million. Jones Lang LaSalle will manage the property.

Starlette McHale will stay on as general manager. She previously worked for Compass Management and Leasing Inc., a company that merged with Jones Lang LaSalle two years ago.

Jones Lang LaSalle, in addition to being a leasing and management company, also serves as a pension fund advisor.
