AUBURN HILLS, MI-Osmic Inc. is spending $9.8 million to expand from Troy, MI into this busy city. Osmic selected Auburn Hills over the Woodlands, TX for the expansion, which is expected to create 198 new jobs.

The company plans to invest $9.8 million over the next five years in its new home, including land, building and equipment costs. Construction of the new facility is likely to begin within the next month and operations are expected to begin in March 2002.

The state is giving the company a $1.1 million tax cut over the next 12years for the move. The package includes an abatement of the 6-mill stateeducation tax valued at $121,388.
