Construction will begin as weather permits and is scheduled to be completed by mid summer.
The bid submitted by U.S. General Contractors was about $57,000 higher than what the city had budgeted. However, additional revenue sources provided the difference. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Park Services provided a $37,000 grant and residents raised $30,000 through donations and fundraisers.
