Data from Highwoods' current accounting system will be electronically converted to be read and manipulated by Asset Management's document management system, AMCProlease.

Using the Windows-based application, Highwoods will have centralized lease file management, drill-down capabilities in their document warehousing, and complex information reporting, Asset Management states in the news release.

Asset Management Technologies is also testing a web-based version to be used in an ASP format that will allow the information to be accessed online.

Lease administration solutions are crucial for companies such as Highwoods, which has 579 properties comprising more than 44 million sf of commercial space; more than 2,000 apartment units; and 27 development projects encompassing nearly three million sf. The company has property in six Southeastern states as well as Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri.
