TROY, MI-UnaSource Health of Troy won approval recently for a variance of 336 parking spaces with the construction of a new facility at its current site. The company is building a 50,000-sf, two-story medical building at Crooks Road and South Corporate Drive, adjacent to where the company’s existing first phase building, a three-story, 89,520-sf medical building already stands.

With the new facility, the company needed to have 1,142 parking spaces, one space for every 100 sf of usable floor space. Harley Ellis, the project architect, says the buildings only need 806 spaces, and that the extra construction costs would cause a hardship.
