Microtune Inc. is moving into 43,680 sf of the four-building project, situated in the 10-acre Jupiter Service Center. The company, relocating from a nearby site in Plano, expects to wrap up the move by the first part of March.

The fully leased project is located north of Plano Parkway at Jupiter Road at 10th Street.Microtune is considered a world leader in RF silicon and systems gateway solutions for the broadband communications and consumer electronics markets. It is best known for its pioneer manufacturing of a single-chip TV tuner.

Randy Wood, Miramar's marketing director, told GlobeSt.com that Microtune has inked a five-year lease for the property. Wood along with Miramar owner John Bunten have negotiated the contract.

The bulk of Miramar's holdings are positioned in the east Plano submarket. Miramar is gearing up to break ground on a 34-acre, 650,000-sf development that mirrors a 40-acre holding in the same area. In Arlington, plans are progressing for a 22-acre, 405,000-sf development. All of Miramar's projects have been designed by Merriman & Associates Architects of Dallas, with Pat Norman & Associates of Austin acting as general contractor.
