Wolff Cos. Snags Second Honor for Preservation Efforts

HOUSTON-Trees for Houston picks the Wolff Cos. and CFO David L. Lane once again for its top preservation award. The prestigious honor goes for planting 72 100-gallon live oak trees in Wolff's 150-acre office park and nearby highway medians.

HOUSTON-The Wolff Cos. and its CFO are the recipients of a tree preservation and planting award by Trees for Houston. In Texas, trees are considered a commodity, with real estate almost always fetching a higher price for the coveted amenity.

David L. Lane and Wolff Cos. are being honored for planting 72 100-gallon live oak trees on a landscape setback along Beltway 8 and Clay Road at the developer’s Westway Park. Wolff also, along with Metro National Corp., has been lauded for planting live oaks, loblolly pines and sweetgum trees in the Clay Road medians at Westway Park. The 150-acre master-planned office park boasts tenants such as Cooper Cameron, Stewart Title Co., P&O Nedloyd, Nextel Communications and Ryland Homes.
