CarrAmerica Lines Up Second Tenant for Under-Construction Custer Court

RICHARDSON, TX-A high-tech California-based company likes the bricks that CarrAmerica's putting up, marking a second lease signing for the developer's first Telecom Corridor project. Custer Court's phase one delivers in September and it's already 40% leased.

RICHARDSON, TX-CarrAmerica Development Inc. has 40% leased in its first construction project in the Telecom Corridor, signing California-based Advanced Fibre Communications Inc. to 19,954 sf.

The signing marks two milestones: a significant expansion for the firm’s Texas operation and the second tenant for a 125,000-sf, three-story undertaking by CarrAmerica. DGI Technologies of Dallas has inked a 10-year pact for 30,000 sf in the 14-acre Custer Court that’s due to deliver its first phase in September. The site is a joint venture development of CarrAmerica and Rosewood Property Co.

Advanced Fibre Communications, based in Petaluma, CA, has sealed a six-yearlease that provides space for a new regional facility. The firm has been working out of a smaller office in Plano, which is a sister operation to nine US sales offices and research and development sites in Buffalo Grove, IL, Largo, FL and Petaluma. The company also maintains offices in Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
