The target cities are Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and its homeport. Additional cities will be added in line with customer demand. ARC provides a tech staff in each city.

The ARC Professional Services complements the existing gamut of reliable, high-speed broadband data network solutions. The new strategy carries a rollout support from more than 150 customers nationwide. "Rather than provide customers an ad-hoc selection of IT services, ARC decided to implement a complete professional services offering within our product portfolio," says Dennis Solie, ARC's senior vice president of sales.

The suite will deliver ongoing, weekly support for a business' IT environment as well as a one-time package covering design, implementation, installations and customer technology services to accommodate hardware and software changes.

ARC Professional Services' customers can elect for on-demand to full-time managed IT support. The small- and mid-size business sector has been found to contain the highest degree of skills gap, according to a recent study by the Information Technology Association of America. "ARC's knowledge and expertise in working with the SMB segment enables us to mitigate the risks associated with operating and growing their businesses and provide a full range of professional support services for companies that do not have IT staff or need additional support at reasonable costs," explains Keith Head, ARC's executive director of professional services.
