About the new position at Cadwalader, Perel explains "the platform that Cadwalader provides will allow me to expand my practice. If you look at the list of clients they service, it's a who's who of corporate financial banking institutions, all of which are finding that they have great needs for environmental counsel."

Perel comes to his current post after spending ten years at Rosenman & Colin, where his practice included environmental law, counseling clients on environmental compliance and litigation involving pollution claims and disputes. Perel will use this experience to represent financial institutions in real estate sales, acquisition, development and financing at Cadwalader.

"The other partners at Cadwalader are very well established, but the hope is that having different horses in the stable will allow us to do more work for those clients," theorizes Perel. "In addition, I have several clients that I've worked with that have responded to the types of environmental work I've done for them."
