FREMONT, CA-This is the city for Digital Fountain. The Internet content delivery company is relocating and expanding from San Francisco to the third floor of Civic Center Place, a four-story class A office building here newly developed by Principal Capital Group for Civic Center Development Company LLC.

John Leydecker, managing director Julien J. Studley, Digital Fountain's commercial real estate firm, says the high tech company wanted a significant amount of analysis prior to making their decision. They considered proximity to current and potential employees, commute times and public transit, housing costs and overall occupancy costs, says Leydecker.

The company is currently located in the Potrero District of San Francisco, where it leases 10,000 sf. Tenant improvements are underway for the new building, in which it will have more than 28,600 sf. The approximate move in date is April 1, 2001. Financial terms were not disclosed and were not immediately otherwise available.

The company believes the new office will help it better tap into the local pool of talented high-tech professionals and support its 100% annual personnel growth rate. Specifically, the company wanted to be close to BART service and near a central business district.
