As the workforce settles into offices, work is progressing on a 26,000-sf expansion at the Southpark Commerce Center site. The new space accommodates engineering, sales and marketing, operations, IT and administrative support staff. Upon build-out, the site will house more than 500 employees.

"Moving into our new corporate headquarters is a major milestone in Legerity's journey from AMD spin-off to autonomous communication IC company," says Ron Van Dell, Legerity CEO. "We quickly outgrew our previous Austin headquarters and required more headroom to keep pace with our momentum."

Legerity is considered a leading supplier of voice ICs for the public network internationally. The move is complemented by the opening of a sales and field application support office in Tokyo and last week's design center opening on Ottawa. The Austin-based corporation employs more than 325 workers worldwide.
