Trendwest had a strong finish in 2000, with fourth quarter revenue increasing 26.1 percent to $86.9 million, as compared to $68.9 million for the fourth quarter of 1999. Net income hit $10.7 million, a 27.4 percent increase over $8.4 million in 4Q 1999.
As of March 1st, Trendwest, with a market capitalization of $464 million, will be added as a replacement component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index – it will be used instead of Republic Security Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: RSFC) as that company has been acquired.
Trendwest Resorts Inc. markets, sells and finances timeshare interests. As well, it acquires, develops and manages timeshare resorts in the western United States and Alaska. As of December 31 Trendwest and its subsidiaries owned 41 resorts and 2,093 condominium units worldwide.
