The 21-story, 619,500-sf building owned by Equitable Life is atop Union Station, one of Metra's major commuter rail terminals.

"This is exactly the kind of company that will help Chicago attain a goal I set in my State of the City speech -- to become a world leader in applied technology, the use of technology to increase productivity in traditional industries," says Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Transora links suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers over the Internet. It expects to have 250 employees when it moves into its new offices in May.

The Chicago market is the third-largest in terms of high-tech employment with 180,000 workers at more than 7,100 companies.
