Key Pedestrian Tunnel in Downtown St. Paul Clears Ownership Hurdle

ST. PAUL, MN-The $10-million tunnel will connect a convention complex to the rest of Downtown. An agreement reached by the state and county this week clears up a title issue.

ST. PAUL, MN-A $10-million tunnel that provides a critical link between the RiverCentre Convention complex, including Xcel Energy Center, and the rest of Downtown has cleared a major hurdle as Ramsey County and the state of Minnesota clarified the ownership of the land under which it will be built. The agreement this week assures the state that the county has title to a key portion of the land in which the tunnel will rise out of the ground to connect with the St. Paul skyway system.
