According to the preliminary draft of a study conducted by Los Angeles-based PKF Consulting, hotel occupancies in the area jumped to 73.9% in 2000, up from 69.4% in 1999. Prices have risen alongside occupancy levels, with rates moving up to $110 per room, as compared with $105 per room in 1999.
Anaheim has played an integral role in Orange County's tourist boom, with the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland attracting numerous visitors to the area. The newly opened Disney's California Adventure promises to draw even more tourists to the county.
