"By choosing to locate inside the Beltway and within walking distance of Metro, Access Worldwide is clearly part of the smart-growth solution championed by Maryland Governor Parris Glendening," says Herschel W. Blumberg, president of Prince George's Metro Center. "We are pleased to welcome Access Worldwide; here the company will also have access to an educated workforce, abundant parking, a regional shopping mall right across the street and extensive on-site amenities."

Prince George's Metro Center also is home to the Technology Growth Center, a partnership of Prince George's County Economic Development Corp., the University of Maryland Technical Advancement Program and PGMC. Since it opened a year ago, 11 companies have leased space at there, and a 15,000 sf expansion is now being designed for its use.

Both Access Worldwide and the TGC will be part of the new University Town Center, a mixed-use development surrounding Prince George's Metro Center, which was recently approved by Prince George's County. University Town Center will contain up to 1.65 million sf of new office space in three new buildings, up to 250,000 sf of retail space, 1,800 apartments and two parking garages.
