Padres Redevelopment Project Lands Major Office Tenant

SAN DIEGO-The Padres announced Thursday they have landed their first major office tenant in the proposed Ballpark Redevelopment District. Now, all they have to do is win approval for the ballpark to be built.

SAN DIEGO-The Padres have landed their first major office tenant in the proposed Ballpark Redevelopment District. Now, all they have to do is win approval for the new ballpark.

“It’s about how a downtown redevelopment plan is working as promised,” Padres president/CEO Larry Lucchino said at a press conference today.

The tenant, Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, plans to move into 75,000 sf of office space in East Village Square. About 400 workers are affected by the consolidation into the three-building development, would be located just outside the outfield fence.
