The entity addresses private-public partnership solutions on economic, growth, transportation and development issues.
American Furniture Warehouse is the region's company of the year for community work spanning a quarter of a century. The company recently has opened a 635,000-sf mega store in Douglas County. Opus Northwest is the developer of the project in the ComPark development.
Terrabrook has copped title to developer of the year for its Reatta housing and and commercial real estate undertaking in Park. The project boasts almost 2,000 acres of open space. Bruce O'Donnell, who heads Terrabrook's operation in Colorado, says the Reatta deal had taken 2 1/2 years to put together.
The prestigious Eagle Award has been accorded to Peter Neukirch, the group's recently retired president. He has been honored for his role in establishing the partnership and heading many transportation and growth issues.
A special recognition award has gone to Developing Equities Group for its Windmill Creek condominium project, which is aimed at "primary" workers earning between $10 and $20 per hour. About 80% of the units in the first phase had been sold to partnership members.
