AMCC Relocates Digital Products Group, Triples Office Space

ANDOVER, MA-Applied Micro Circuits Corp. relocates its Digital Products Group here to an office over three times the size of the company's original site. The company says it is already looking for an even larger location as it anticipates additional growth.

ANDOVER, MA- Applied Micro Circuits Corp. relocated its Digital Products Group within this town to an office over three times the size of the company’s original site. The new site provides the company with 72,000 sf of office space that AMCC will use to expand its current office from 100 to 300 employees.

The CA-based company, which develops high-bandwidth silicon solutions for optical networks, entered this area by acquiring Cimaron in March of 1999. This office has since become a substantial part of the company, according to Sarah Furar, associate account executive with the Ardell Group, which manages AMCC’s public relations. Furar tells GlobeSt.com that AMCC was interested in staying here because it is a good area to recruit high tech talent.
