InfoSpace's Steve Stratz tells GlobeSt "no decision ahs been made. It (Pier 70) is on the market, but we 're not going to do anything foolish." Stratz acknowledges the large amount of high-tech sublease space floating about the market, about 1.3 million by most estimates. "We've got a great deal there. If (a sublease) becomes reality, it will be for the right reasons," says Stratz.

Stratz tells GlobeSt there are six years left on its existing lease. Chris Moe of Kidder Mathews & Segner has been engaged by InfoSpace to test the waters for a possible replacement tenant and the right deal. Moe was not immediately available to provide details.

"We've gone through changes including, unfortunately, substantial layoffs," says Stratz, referring to the 250 employees let go last month. "We're really looking at every aspect of the business and the best way to align costs," he adds.
