Goldstein tells GlobeSt.com that Chevron had been interested in the space because of its proximity to Chevron Tower and the affordability such a location offers in networking the new office via telephone and data ports to other space. Goldstein says the pact signals Chevron's ongoing support of 4 Houston Center, of which Chevron Tower is a part.

The 12-story 4 Houston Center is located at 1231 and 1331 Lamar in the CBD, with views of the George R. Brown Convention Center and Houston Center garden blocks. The building, which includes four parking levels, contains 674, 247 sf of net rentable office area. Typical floor plates are 56,660 sf.
