Owner Sage Hill School has built a private, independent, nondenominational school on a hilltop overlooking the 73 toll road. The campus features a five-story bell tower; state-of-the-art satellite dish communications; and a theater in the library, with laptop trays that allow students to interface with the on-screen presentation. There is also a "Town Square" outside seating area with telecommunications hook-ups for students to plug in laptops to do their homework after school.
"All classrooms have state-of-the-art telecommunications and data locations," says Bob Finney, senior superintendent for Koll Construction, which also oversaw the upgrading of city roads and installation of new utilities, along with the construction of the baseball and football/soccer fields and volleyball and basketball courts. The school has already started holding classes on the site.
