Permits Down in One of Metro's Largest Suburbs

OVERLAND PARK, KS-Commercial construction permit numbers are down in this city by half in February compared to January figures, as well as compared to the same time last year.

Thirty nine permits were issued in the remodeling/miscellaneous category, compared to 51 in January. The 45 total permits issued in January is about a quarter less than the 64 issued the first month of the year. Last year at this time, 137 total commercial construction permits had been issued.
