The Port Authority will develop at least one business center along the route -- the proposed 25-acre Westminister Junction Business Center. The city is expected to build new housing in the area and renovate existing housing already there as part of the project.
The property also will be used for park and open space. Three tenants on the property north of the Union Pacific Mainline and south of Wells Street between Payne Avenue and Arcade Street will be relocated by summer.
