Warwick Reopens Doors After $20-Mil Makeover

DENVER-The Warwick Hotel is now a favorite of the Capitol lunch crowd, reopening after a six-month, $20-million redo. Another $2 million in work starts in the spring. It's all being done to re-connect in grand fashion with the Denver community.

DENVER-The Warwick Hotel Denver has reopened its doors after completing a six-month, $20-million renovation.

The 220-room hotel at 1776 Grant St. is at the CBD’s edge and within walking distance form the 16th Street Mall, which provides free shuttle buses from one end of downtown to another, as well as a quick jaunt to the Colorado Convention Center and the State Capitol.

Indeed, its new restaurant, Randolph’s, has become a favorite lunch spots for Republicans at the Capitol. The hotel even operates a limo service from the Capitol to the hotel. Each room has a private, full-size terrace, three two-line phones with dataports and voice mail, mini-bar, in-room safes, cable TV and pay Per View Movies, irons and ironing board, hair dryer and coffee makers. The hotel provides twice-daily maid service, 24-hour fax and copy services. The hotel lists room rates on its Web site from $95 a night to $345.An additional $2 million will be spent this spring, which includes incorporating a state-of-the-art health club, a club-level lounge, additional luxury guest rooms, and an executive board room the 14th and 15th floors. The hotel will remain open during this phase of the renovation. The work carries a May 31 completion.
