The company, Santa Fe Springs-based Cal Con Transportation, has acquired the 58,829-sf warehouse from an LLC. Built in 1979, the facility, which stands at 14122 Pontlavoy, is located in the Mid-Counties Business Center.
Cal Con will occupy 47,429 sf in the building. Tenant Mon-Ami, a locally based pen distributor, will take the remaining space.
"The Mid Counties marketplace has been really tight, as far as being able to buy distribution facilities in the 50,000- to 100,000-sf range," says Chuck Wilson, a broker who worked on the deal.
Cal Con was represented by Jeff Huberman of Lee & Associates. A Colliers Seeley team of Wilson and Steve Calhoun dealt for the seller, MCBC LLC.
