Robert C. Sash partner in charge of Arthur Andersen's Northeast Region State and Local Tax practice, says, "Kathleen will provide more focus on the prospective incentive side of our Credits and Incentives practice." He adds that Norat will be working with clients to help them maximize their use of state and local tax business incentives offered by state and local governments to create jobs and capital investments.
During her tenure as president of the Dutchess County Economic Development Corp., Norat helped convince more than 70 companies to locate or expand their operations in Dutchess County, which generated approximately 14,000 jobs.
