Steve Witten, senior director of the National Multi Housing Group for the New Haven-based brokerage firm, says that Riverview is located on the edge of the Five Mile River at 93 Richards Ave. He notes that Riverview was built in the late 1980s and was originally intended as a condominium project. However, he adds that the property came online just as the recession took hold and eventually the apartments were converted into rentals. No units were ever sold as condos.

The building is comprised of 75 two-bedroom units of nearly 1,050 sf and three one-bedroom units with den (1,125 sf) and 14 one-bedroom (850 sf) apartments. Some of the existing amenities at Riverview include: a climate controlled parking garage, balconies, central air conditioning, walk-in closets, elevators and security entry buzzer/intercom system. The new owner plans to incorporate additional amenities and services in order to reposition the property, Witten adds.
