Sheraton Hotel to Get Necessary Permits; Open on Time

SACRAMENTO, CA-A much needed, widely expected hotel is gearing up for opening day. The Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel is nearing its completion date of April on time and on budget--a mere $84 million.

SACRAMENTO, CA-The 503-room Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel is nearing completion on time and on budget, though officials are scrambling to get an occupancy permit from the city. The permit is expected this week, and the hotel is expected to open for business next month, according to a spokesperson for the development company.

The 28-floor hotel, developed by David Taylor of the Tynan Group Inc., will hold a job fair March 8 and 9 to get the 300 workers it needs. So far, the hotel, located at 13th and J streets, has hired roughly 30 people.
