The Ward Parkway store, 8600 Ward Parkway in south Kansas City, is a three-story building with 135,000 sf.
Extensive renovations are underway at the shopping center. When it opened 40 years ago, it was one of the area's largest enclosed malls. It was renovated about 10 years ago and is now being outfitted with outside entry to more stores, including the new tenants, among them an office supply store and a sporting goods store.
Ward Parkway Shopping Center is owned by Madison Marquette Realty Services. Target is based in Minneapolis.
