Boyd and Boyd Page associate R. Conrad Bernard also have snagged the Texas Association of Realtors' William C. Jennings Lone Star Award for the most outstanding real estate transaction of the year.

The NAIOP award for industrial broker has been given to Boyd for his completion of $144 million in industrial transactions in 2000. This is Boyd's second time to win the award. "In addition to production we look at the professionalism and community service of the candidates to assist us in determining the broker of the year," says Don Dennis,president of the Houston NAIOP chapter. "Mike Boyd represents the best of the best in terms of what he gives back to the industry and community."

Boyd and Bernard have won the Lone Star award based on the sale and long-term leaseback of four Baker-Hughes properties in Houston totaling more than one million sf. The buyer, Texan Western LP has purchased the portfolio for over $100 million. Boyd and Bernard worked with co-marketers, David J. Gustafson and Eric C. Wilcox of San Francisco-based Arroyo & Coates in the deal.
