Westchester County government officials relate that the 112-page reference book shows off everything Westchester has to offer -- from tourist attractions and parks to colleges and hospitals. It covers transportation services, local and county governments, and the county's business and economic development projects and programs. Complimentary copies are also available to the public.

"Distributing this book does more than get the word out," said Westchester County Executive Andy Spano. "It shows how we are all working together to promote economic development. We're hoping more companies will see the benefits of doing business here and choose to expand in or relocate to Westchester."

The County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Westchester County produced the 2001 edition. Suburban Publishing Inc. of Elmsford published it.

"It represents the county well," said Toni Wirth, acting president of the County Chamber. "We could have done volumes on all the benefits of Westchester, but we believe this is as comprehensive and informational as a book of this type can be."
