Oakwood Worldwide, which already holds an agreement with USOL Holdings Inc. has amended its service contract to add US OnLine's high-speed Internet services to the 308-unit Oakwood Austin. A company spokesman tells Globe St.com that Oakwood's willingness to expand its existing agreement with US OnLine speaks volumes about the company. Oakwood Austin is a member of Los Angeles-based Oakwood Worldwide, the world's largest provider of corporate housing.
Austin-based USOL Holdings provides integrated telecommunications and entertainment services to residential properties. Its subsidiary, US OnLine, provides local and long distance telephone, television and high-speed Internet access in a single package for apartment residents. USOL Holdings provides services in seven major markets, including Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Houston. The publicly held company also has negotiated agreements this year with TVO Realty's Partners Lakeview property in Austin and expanded its range of services at 2,000 units in Walden-owned properties in Houston.
