$18.6-Mil Multifamily Project Opens Today in Pflugerville

PFLUGERVILLE, TX-Today, Garland, TX-based Winchester Properties will celebrate the grand opening of 1825 Place, Pflugerville’s first apartment complex.

The growing Pflugerville community just north of Austin hasn’t lacked for new home construction, but it has lacked for multifamily housing. That’s because the city of Pflugerville’s zoning code requirements on density and parking ratios made serious multifamily development cost prohibitive, managing partner John Hilz tells GlobeSt.com. “We spent the last two years in various work sessions with the planning and zoning commission, the city council and the mayor and basically rewrote the zoning ordinance for the city of Pflugerville,” Hilz says. “Now the zoning code is conducive for multifamily.”
