Carter & Associates Does Almost $7 Mil in 30 Days

ORLANDO-Most of them weren't 'big deals,' but the brokerage's production covered 72,779 sf in six buildings and helped earn commissions for 10 agents. The locally based firm also completed a $1.5 million office building sale and a $600,000 land transaction.

ORLANDO-In a period where metro Orlando’s six primary office submarkets of 25.7 million sf are showing an overall vacancy level of 10.2%, locally based Carter & Associates-ONCOR continues to chip away at the empty space, racking up aggregate value leasing volume of $6.95 million on 10 contracts in the last 30 days.

“We just keep plugging away,” Tom D. Cook, Carter’s vice president/development, tells GlobeSt.com. The average asking rent is $19.32 per sf. Downtown it’s $23.75 per sf, according to the latest numbers from CB Richard Ellis Inc.

Carter’s largest lease amounted to 30,000 sf taken by Advanced Systems Technology Inc. in Technology Point I at 3045 Technology Parkway. The five-year lease is valued at $2.92 million. Carter’s Mary Frances West and Howard Lee negotiated for the tenant. Jeff McFadden of Trammell Crow Co. represented the owner, Technology Drive I Ltd.
