Former Hilton Site Gets OK for Office Use

TROY, MI-An old Hilton Hotel site at Maple Road and Stephenson Highway here will be the site of five-story, 275,000-sf office building developed by Kojaian Co. The plan commission says it meets city requirements.

TROY, MI-A popular portion of land in Southeast Michigan’s strongest office market was recently approved for a large office development by the city planning commission. Preliminary site plan approval was recently given to the Kojaian Co. to build a five-story, 275,000-sf office building on 16.4 acres at Maple Road and Stephenson Highway.

The site was formerly occupied by the Troy Hilton Hotel, built in 1976 and vacant since the late 1980s. The hotel was torn down earlier this year.
