Sears Buys 12 Acres for Great Indoors Concept Store

HOUSTON-The Great Indoors is headed to Houston, where parent company Sears has just acquired a 12-acre tract. The property is located off Interstate 10 and east of Beltway 8 in an established retail corridor.

HOUSTON-Lance Davis of Houston-based Davis Holdings tells GlobeSt.com that the company recently has sold 12 acres on the north part of Interstate 10 just east of Beltway 8 to Sears for its new Great Indoors Concept Store. The Great Indoors is a home decor store launched by Sears in 1998.

Davis says his company had bought the land four months ago from Friedkin Cos. and subsequently has sold it to Sears. Davis had represented his company in the deal while Dean Lane of Boyd Page & Associates has acted on Sears’ behalf.
