"We supply to the high tech industries," notes Richter, "and the Boston area is a high-tech corridor." Richter adds that this town was conveneient for its proximity to one its larger customers, Analog. Richter notes that Azerity is beginning to branch out to other industries such as the pharmaceutical industry.
Azerity was incorporated in 1998 under the name Intelic Software. The company, which is a sell-side e-business software provider, initially focused on a single product. Recently the company changed its name to Azerity to indicate its change to a complete end-sales solution provider. "We felt the name no longer identified what we were doing," says Richter, who says "Azerity stands for a complete solution from A to Z with certainty."
