Austin-based USOL Holdings is a provider of telephone, cable and Internet access for multifamily properties. Barlow, a certified public accountant, will replace Jeff Sperber as CFO. Sperber has taken a position with Denver-based TeleTech, a provider of integrated customer relationship management solutions. Barlow has held several senior posts with USOL Holdings.

The company also has announced that Shane Menking, who joined the company last month, will be taking the newly created post of controller of USOL Holdings. Menking had served as senior auditor during USOL's 1999 merger with Oregon-based First Link Communications Inc. At the time, Menking was a manager with Arthur Andersen LLP.

"These appointments strengthen the Company's financial leadership and management capability. Don has extensive experience in the financial industry and he is intimately familiar with USOL Holdings and its subsidiaries," says CEO Rob Solomon. "He is clearly an ideal selection for the role as CFO. Moreover, the addition of Shane Menking as controller positions us with a deep and very talented financial team possessing a complementary skill set."
