Cohen Financial Sinks $82 Million into the Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO-In the largest local deal to date for the firm, Cohen secured $45 million in equity from an institutional investor for Bernal Office Park, a 745,000sf office complex in Pleasanton.

SAN FRANCISCO-Chicago-based Cohen Financial’s local offices have secured seven loans amounting to more than $82 million, for several Bay Area buildings and two more properties in Sacramento. The San Francisco office arranged financing for five projects and the Sacramento office secured loans for two.

The real estate investment banker secured $10 million for 10 years at a fixed rate for a 10-story office building on Market Street in San Francisco. Cohen also arranged $11.25 million in debt placement for a 123,000-sf retail center in San Jose called Santa Teresa Village. Terms of the seven-year, non-recourse loan based on seven-year Treasuries include a 30-year amortization.
