Ursula D Natusch, director of marketing for eLEC Communications, says the company has opened its call center prior to its official opening of its new corporate headquarters location that had previously served as offices for Lillian Vernon Corp. After its shift to New Rochelle, the firm will retain a Network Operations Center at its current headquarters location at 509 Westport Ave.here.

eLEC's newly renovated 45,000 sf facility in New Rochelle is already operating at 50% of its current capacity due to the recent acquisition of Line One Teleservices of New Rochelle. The company expects to fill the facility's 120 (telemarketing) seats in less than six months. eLEC plans to install an additional 100 seats in the new center by mid 2002.

The customer contact center houses eLEC's outbound telemarketing, in-bound customer care and collection departments. The center is fully web-enabled and automated with the digital telephone switches, predictive dialers and database management systems.
