Corporate Office Properties Buys Buildings Near BWI

COLUMBIA, MD-Corporate Office Properties Trust purchased a five-building, 314,594 sf office portfolio near Baltimore-Washington International Airport from UBS Brinson Realty Investors LLC, or AETNA Life Insurance Company. The purchase price of the joint venture was not disclosed.

The buildings, which are 98% leased to companies including CIENA Corporation, Cadmus Journal Services Inc. and the US government, increases Corporate Office Properties Trust presence in the Baltimore/Washington corridor to more than 4.2 million sf of office space among 55 buildings. The five multi-story office buildings, located in the Airport Square Business Park, are adjacent to the BWI Airport and within minutes from Route 295 and Interstate 95. Amenities and services near the buildings include restaurants and retail space.
