Firms See NAR as a Way to Resurrect Dead MLS Initiative

NEW YORK CITY-To get on REALTOR.com and expand, Marilyn Harra Kaye's MLB Kaye International Realty has joined NAR. Also, 100 other residential firms are looking to start a Manhattan branch of NAR to get an MLS off the ground.

NEW YORK CITY-Prudential MLB Kaye International Realty has joined the Westchester branch of the National Association of Realtors, the world’s largest professional real estate association. The firm’s president Marilyn Harra Kaye is in the middle of a major expansion, including potentially opening a Westchester office and a second Downtown Manhattan office in TriBeCa. The move to join NAR will get Kaye’s brokers on REALTOR.com, a web site service of NAR that gets more hits than any other real estate site.

“I wanted to give my clients exposure to REALTOR.com while in NAR and maintaining a local presence at REBNY,” explains Kaye. “I feel that I have an obligation to give my clients as much exposure as possible, which really facilitated the decision.”

“Also, I had been talking with Westchester for almost two years because I refer people up there all the time,” elaborates Kaye. “The area is a natural for me because I go up to Westchester for conferences all the time and I know the area and the people there.”
