GlobeSt.com, Tax Counsel to Provide Tax Tips for Commercial Real Estate Industry

NEW YORK CITY-Adding to its breadth of news and information, GlobeSt.com has entered into an agreement with the American Property Tax Counsel to provide professional tax tips for the industry on a monthly basis. The APTC, based in Chicago, is the only organization of law firms providing major portfolio owners across the United States and Canada with a single source for guidance on property-tax reporting and tax reduction.

Since property tax laws vary by state, Tax Talk will be presented on a state-by-state basis, keyed to the 25 markets in the GlobeSt.com coverage area. Each article will be authored by an APTC member attorney and offer an analyses of critical tax issues and trends on a local basis.

“Property taxes are one of the largest expense items on any real estate company’s operating statement,” states APTC president John E. Garippa. “However, little emphasis has been given to controlling that expense and increasing net asset and portfolio value.
