Houston Awards 15-Year Hotel Management Pact

HOUSTON-It's official: Hilton will be managing Houston's Convention Center Hotel. A 15-year contract has been signed for the 1,200-room facility, which breaks ground in the summer. Delivery is set for late 2003.

HOUSTON-Beverly Hills, CA-based Hilton Hotel Corp. has signed a highly sought, 15-year contract to manage 1,200-room Houston’s Convention Center Hotel.

Dieter Huckestein, Hilton’s executive vice president, says the pact is indicative of the long-standing relationship the corporation has in Houston and across the state. And, the management contract is a great addition to the Hilton portfolio of convention hotels. The company currently has hotels in San Francisco, New York, Washington, DC, New Orleans and Honolulu. Signing off the city is the Houston Convention Center Hotel Corp, an affiliate of the City of Houston.
